A Virtual Allergy-Friendly Picnic

Vintage Picnic Tin at Etsy

Here in Massachusetts, the weather has been beautiful this weekend!  Sunny, warm but not hot, low humidity... I just want to spend all day outside :)

On days like these, a picnic can be a great way to spend time with our families... but what can you pack when your allergies prevent you from eating the traditional sandwiches and spreads?

Today I surfed the 'Net to find allergy-friendly foods that would work well at a picnic, and here's the menu I've created for my fantasy event.  Click the links to see the original recipes ... there are some great allergy-free websites out there!  Happy Virtual Picnicking -- hope the weather's great where you are too!

  1. The nutritionist in me really want to add a little more protein in there. Maybe a nice legume-based salad? They travel quite well and are reasonable safe to hold for a short time at room temp.
