Creamsicle Shake |
Boy, it's hot today! Is there any better way to cool down and enjoy summer than an icy cold milkshake? YES - if the milkshake is made without dairy :) This super-easy recipe is a crowd-pleaser, and features vanilla flavored coconut milk ice cream and a secret ingredient: cantaloupe! The melon helps increase the orange color and mask the coconut flavor of the "ice cream." Just pour everything into the blender, mix and enjoy. Every kid on the block will be coming to your house for snacks when word of this treat gets out!
Frosty Creamsicle Shake
2 cups vanilla flavored coconut milk ice cream
1 cup orange juice
1 Tbsp honey
1/2 cup cantaloupe, cubed
Blend until smooth, serve immediately. Makes 4 servings.

That looks absolutely yummy! I am always looking for dairy free because of my respiratory milk allergy. I haven't tried the vanilla coconut milk ice cream...I'll look for that tomorrow. Thanks for a great recipe!

Fantastic!!!! It looks absolutely fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWow a dairy-free creamsicle my kids can slurp down-this looks so refreshing and delicious!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteThis looks amazing. I can attest to how delicious cantaloupe tastes in smoothies. It's funny because I don't love cantaloupe by itself, but I've been using it in smoothies and it give just the right amount of sweet. Such a clean and refreshing taste.
Pinning this one!

ReplyDeleteOh, creamsicles were one of my favorite ice cream treats from childhood. I hate to think of how much high fructose corn syrup I ingested from those alone! Your recipe is so refreshing and pure. I wonder if I can freeze these in a popsicle mold...
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like such a treat! It's lovely that t it is dairy free and so wholesome too! Creamsicles were definitely one of my favourites when I was a kid too :)
